Message Title: Engaging the Turnaround Power of Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is embedded with turnaround virtues that no prayer and fasting can substitute.
Until you thank Him for His finger you can't see His hand. If you can't thank God for His hand you can't see His outstretched arm.
As you give God thanks for that stinking situation, you have committed Him to turn it around into testimonies.
Every genuine thanksgiving will surely result in praise. Ps. 22:3
Amongst other things, thanksgiving releases:
1. Fresh oil upon the head of a believer bringing fresh victories day by day. Ps. 92:1,10,11
It is pure spiritual ignorance to keep murmuring and complaining.
2. God steps into your affairs as the sound of your thanksgiving goes up to heaven. 2 Chron. 20:21-24
3. Thanksgiving helps the believer to flourish even in hard times. Ps. 92:10,12
The cost of not giving God Thanks
1. Lack of thanksgiving can turn anyone's glory to shame. Mal. 2:1-3
2. Lack of thanksgiving can stop your way forward. PS 4:18,
Lk. 17:15-19
Where thanksgiving stops is where forward movement stops.
3. Lack of thanksgiving can lead believers into captivity.
Jer. 13:15-17
4. Lack of thanksgiving destroys just as pride does. Ps. 28:5
